Trending Medical Technology Rapid Genetic Detection Platform Receives External Validation Confirmation

Monash University recently conducted a groundbreaking comparative test to assess the precision of the trending medical technology, Rapid Genetic Detection Platform (Trending-MedAX®), against Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in detecting Canine Parvovirus (CPV) and Salmonella in canine feces.

In comparison to PCR results conducted by IDEXX, Trending Medical Technology’s Rapid Genetic Detection Platform (Trending-MedAX®) demonstrated:

  1. Canine Parvovirus (CPV) Testing:
    • Accuracy Rate: 100% (60/60)
    • Sensitivity: 100% (20/20)
    • Specificity: 100% (40/40)
    • Accuracy Rate: 100% (60/60)
    • Sensitivity: 100% (20/20)
    • Specificity: 100% (40/40)
    • Accuracy Rate: 100% (60/60)
    • Sensitivity: 100% (20/20)
    • Specificity: 100% (40/40)
    • Accuracy Rate: 100% (60/60)
    • Sensitivity: 100% (20/20)
    • Specificity: 100% (40/40)
  2. Salmonella Testing:
    • Accuracy Rate: 100% (60/60)
    • Sensitivity: 100% (20/20)
    • Specificity: 100% (40/40)
    • Accuracy Rate: 100% (60/60)
    • Sensitivity: 100% (20/20)
    • Specificity: 100% (40/40)

These results indicate a perfect match (100%) between Trending-MedAX® and PCR, affirming Trending-MedAX®’s ability to accurately detect both CPV and Salmonella in canine fecal samples. This achievement marks a significant advancement in medical technology, showcasing the platform’s reliability and precision in veterinary diagnostics.
